Stories from ILSC-funded projects
The Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) covers approximately 1.4m ha on the Arnhem Land Plateau east of Kakadu National Park in the NT. ILSC assistance has supported Warddeken Rangers to increase their capacity to improve wet season access, improve road maintenance, control erosion and protect culturally important rock art sites.
Support for planning and silo construction has created training outcomes, jobs and improved the cattle business at six Indigenous-managed properties in central Queensland.
The ILSC funded the construction and fit out of a commercial kitchen for a new cafe at the Aboriginal-owned Gudjuda Cultural Centre in Ayr, south of Townsville, QLD.
