The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) acknowledges with sadness, the passing of the Northern Land Council (NLC) Chair, Dr Bush-Blanasi. Dr Bush-Blanasi grew up in the Wugularr (Beswick) community in Katherine and was dedicated to serving his community. He was raised by Mr Blanasi a senior Mayili leader and had connections to the Blue Mud Bay region in east Arnhem Land. The Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation (WYAC) is on the move – having relocated to a new, fit-for-purpose Headquarters located in Spalding, Western Australia. Warnkurr Sports and Social Club is a local gem. Established in 1987 – the club provides a space for the community and tourists to gather, have a yarn and share a meal.
