Regional Indigenous Land and Sea Strategies 2024-2028

The ILSC has three Regional Indigenous Land and Sea Strategies (RILSS) — Central, Eastern and Western — each aligned to the priorities and commitments in the National Indigenous Land and Sea Strategy.

The strategies correspond to our divisional boundaries and highlight the regional opportunities available for realising Indigenous peoples' aspirations on Country.

Our Regions

  • Central — Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania
  • Eastern — New South Wales, Queensland, Australian Capital Territory and the Torres Strait Islands
  • Western — Western Australia

Acknowledgement of Country

In all of the ILSC’s activities we pay our respect to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands, waters and skies on which we live and work. We honour the resilience and continuing connection to Country, culture, and community of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia. We recognise the decisions we make today will impact the lives of generations to come.
