Getting started

Creating a project plan together can be a powerful experience. It helps bring people’s ideas together and builds a shared goal that is connected to Culture and Country.

Discussing and agreeing what you will do, why you are doing it, and who needs to be involved will set your project up for success.

Before you start planning a project, make sure you know your rights.

It’s also important to think about what you want to do and what you can do with your current resources.

Acknowledgement of Country

In all of the ILSC’s activities we pay our respect to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands, waters and skies on which we live and work. We honour the resilience and continuing connection to Country, culture, and community of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia. We recognise the decisions we make today will impact the lives of generations to come.
