Guides & support

Australia is changing how it makes electricity by using more clean and renewable energy, like solar and wind. Clean energy projects can bring cheaper power, new jobs, and help build stronger communities.

Use these resources to find out more about renewable and clean energy markets.

First Nations Clean Energy Network (FNCEN)

This network makes sure First Nations people are at the centre of Australia’s clean energy transition. They help communities take part in renewable energy projects, create jobs, and benefit from cheaper, reliable power. They also provide training, resources, and support for community-led projects, while advocating for fair policies and cultural protection. www.firstnationscleanenergy.org.au

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA)

IBA helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people invest in renewable energy projects. They partner with Indigenous groups to build solar farms and other clean energy solutions, especially in remote or off-grid areas. One example is the Northam Solar Farm in WA, which powers thousands of homes and reduces emissions. iba.gov.au
