Under a leasing agreement with Traditional Owners, the ILSC upgraded infrastructure and established a residential-based training program on Bulimba Station.

Trainees on Bulimba have undertake accredited training, including Certificate II in Agriculture (Beef Production),  as well as other training such as first aid and a horsemanship school.

Indigenous families visit Bulimba throughout the year for fishing and camping holidays. Indigenous trainees participate in local community events including the Chillagoe Rodeo
