Roebuck Export Depot

The ILSC invested close to $2 million to establish Roebuck Export Depot as a commercial, accredited business with a capacity of up to 12,000 head of cattle.

The ILSC acquired a special purpose lease adjacent to Roebuck Plains Station in 2004, then owned by the ILC.

The ILSC’s export cattle depot business provides a unique opportunity for Indigenous trainees from Roebuck Plains to gain invaluable skills in the cattle industry.

Three Indigenous jackaroos from communities in Western Australia’s Kimberley region visited Indonesian cattle operations to gain rare insight into the operations of their overseas trading partners
