Warnkurr Sports and Social Club, located in Kalkarindji NT, experienced devastating flooding which caused significant damage to the premises’ building, plants, equipment and stock.
After applying for the ILSC Emergency Response Program, Warnkurr was awarded $20,000, providing the club urgent funds to cover damage costs.
With the commencement of the 2024 financial year, the ILSC’s flood grants have been restructured to cover all natural disasters, which now importantly include bushfire recovery. Grants of up to $20,000 are available, and the Program is a rolling, annual initiative.
